Sunset Cinema

Sunset Cinema Club

On Friday 16th June and Saturday 17th June Sunset Cinema Club hosted Screen on the Green. This involved a huge outdoor cinema screen on the Old Bowling Green along with full sound system showing ‘The Princess Bride’ on the Friday night and ‘Grease’ on the Saturday night. Both evenings were a massive success with superb feedback from everybody who went.

Keep an eye out for future events from Sunset Cinema Club, click here to visit their website or check for updates at our Haywood Road Community Centre Facebook page.

Porchester Festival

Porchester Festival is a weekend of fun for all residents of Porchester ward, an area which encompasses all of Porchester Gardens and stretches as far as Mapperley golf course.
It is volunteer run and many events are free. It aims to celebrate the wonderful schools, organisations, businesses, churches and community groups that make this such a special part of Mapperley.
We hope this festival will help foster a sense of community and becomes a popular summer event in the years to come.
Porchester Community Festival is a non profit organisation and any excess funds from organising the Festival are put back into the community.
This year we’re putting any excess funds raised into Haywood Road Community Centre.
