Haywood Road Community Centre is located on Mapperley Top at 46 Haywood Road. It has been in existence since the 1960s and has hosted all manner of community groups and societies and parties over the years, it is also the home of Haywood Road Pre-School.
Following a ‘Community Asset Transfer’ from the council it is now run by volunteers from the community. The adjacent Haywood Road Green has also been saved from housing development and Gedling Borough Council have re-developed the site to provide a children’s play area and park.
